RESIDENT INFO
Fall - a beautiful time of
year - but what to do with
all those leaves?
Remember that residents are responsible for taking care of leaves in their own yards. Leaves should be raked, bagged, and put out as yard trim on the County recycling day which is typically Tuesday. In the case of a Monday holiday, recycling is collected on Wednesday (i.e., Nov. 11 - Veterans Day).

Leaves should not be raked into the street, into storm drains, or onto common areas. Please also be respectful of your neighbors and don't blow leaves onto other yards.
Our landscaping company is only responsible for collecting leaves on common areas and will not pick up leaves placed adjacent to residents' property. Leaves piled in the street are unsightly and represent a driving hazard in our community.
Gas Powered Leaf Removal Equipment Banned
(Montgomery County Code Sec. 31B-9. Leaf removal equipment.)

Effective July 1, 2025, the use of handheld, backpack, and walk-behind gas-powered leaf removal equipment is banned in Montgomery County subject to a fine of $500 per violation.
